Default Cinnamon and Breastfeeding

Hi...I'm new to this board. I have been breastfeeding my daughter for 10 months and until recently I wasn't really feeling any effects from my PCOS. In the last week or so though my energy has crashed and I'm noticing my weight creep up again so I'm thinking I need to start taking some supplements and watching my diet again to get it back in check. I just picked up a bottle of cinnamon tablets because they seemed to help before I got pregnant, but I noticed on the side of the bottle it says not to take it if breastfeeding...anyone have any idea why? Is anyone taking cinnamon while breastfeeding? I was hoping to try this again (I think it worked for me before getting pregnant) before talking to the doctor about medication options....

(Sorry, I know this post may be better fit for the Mommy section of the board but it won't allow me to post in that section until I've posted at least 10 times elsewhere...).

I just googled "cinnamon while breastfeeding" and came up with a number of message boards discussing this. Looks to me like the consensus was the cinnamon was upsetting to little tummies.
