I was recently reading a book and the main character's favorite dish was Cinnamon Chicken. I had never heard of this before. Has any else ever had it or made it?

I do sometimes put cinnamon on chicken when I'm making an "caribbean" or sweet-type dish. I'll often mix in fresh pineapple, stir-fry the chicken with teriyaki and cinnamon, and serve with sugar snap peas and brown rice.
It sounds odd, but it's really a good flavor with the cinnamon!
LOL I think Laura made Almonzo (sp) Cinnamon Chicken on Little House! She put hot pepper on it instead of the Cinnamon...it was funny.
OT...no I have never made it. Sounds good.

I made the cinnamon chicken last night . At the same time I also made some fried coconut chicken strips incase it turned out nasty hehe !!
But to my surprise it was good , I was sitting here smelling the cinnamon and was thinking to myself , good thing I made the coconut chicken no way is Martin going to eat this haha , but to my surprise he liked it . So I can add this to my list of things to do with chicken breast.
CINNAMON CHICKEN
INGREDIENTS:
* 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 2 tablespoons Italian-style seasoning
* 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
* 3 teaspoons salt ( I didnt use this amount of salt I only used 1 tsp )
* 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Place chicken in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with ground cinnamon, seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper. (Note: You can be liberal with the seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper; however, the cinnamon should only be a dusting and not clumped.)
3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
