cinnamon during pregnancy? I've been taking cinnamon and have heard that it can be dangerous during pregnancy at a pharmaceutical dose, possibly causing uterine contractions. I've also heard that this isn't true and cinnamon is fine. I know that the amount used in food is fine - I just want to know if I should stop taking cinnamon capsules if and when I get pregnant (I'm not on Metformin and I'm worried about PCOS-related miscarriage).
I'm pretty sure doctors are going to say don't do it during the first trimester, better safe than sorry - but I would be greatly comforted to hear that someone's taken cinnamon throughout her entire pregnancy. Anyone?
