Thanks! Seems like everyone is getting cinnamon from Walmart, I will have to give that a try. :-)

Hello everyone. I'm a new person to this board and this thread.

I have read every single thread! It took me an hour but it was well worth it.

I got a real kick from "cinna-burps"

I've been off met for 1.75 years...I'm looking into getting back on it.

Today, while I'm out, I am picking up some cinnamon!

Pearl, congratulations on the BFP!

Hi newbie. I just started cinn. this week. My dh want to lost weight and lower his bp so he started on it too.

I decided to take 1000mg for the first week and then jump to 2x's day. Hopefully, this works.

Also, another cyster posted that met is for sale otc in some states. Did anyone know this?

It's not OTC in Ohio, that's for sure. If it was, I would by some tonight...maybe I can buy it off the 'net...hummm BRB.

I'm just wondering how everyone is doing on the cinnamon?

I noticed that my scale is reading 3 pounds lighter.....and I can't think why that would be....except maybe the cinnamon? *keeping fingers crossed*

So I'm starting to think I should start taking cinnamon myself...I posted a new topic to ask about it but figured I'll just jump right in here.

I have un-dx'ed IR and am finding it impossible to lose any weight. The 6 lbs. in my sig are from about two months ago...took me 3 months to lose them, then I just stopped. My immediate goal is to get to 130 but I would like to dip below that if possible (I'm only 5'1" but have a muscular frame, so I generally function fine a few lbs. over the "ideal").

I go to school in Portland, ME and have to walk everywhere, plus I'm a ceramics student, so I know I get plenty of exercise. Just wrangling the pottery wheel with a good 5 or 6 lbs. of clay is enough!

What I want to know is, where do you ladies get your cinnamon, the ones who take it in capsule form? I've looked at all the vitamin companies I can get at the local CVS and no dice...looked on drugstore.com and no dice...I could get the cinnamon in bulk with capsules to put it in, from home, but I want to be sure I'm getting enough mg. I've seen all the talk about 1/2 a teaspoon this and 1/4 teaspoon that, but I want to be exact!

Hmm, well, I had my mother get me some from home. It's the cinnamon bark and apparently in chunks too big for capsules, but the lady at the store figured it would be alright if I ground it myself.

Navi you can boil it and make a strong tea out of it, it tastes LOVELY!

Ive had to cut down on cinnamon because it was lowering my blood sugar and I was getting hypoglycemic and that was making my morning sickness very very bad.

So as I can see from my last post I quit cinnamon at 7 weeks pregnant which I think is good going and Im sure it helped my hormones stay balanced for my pregnancy. I have lost a further 10lbs due to bad sickness and although it sucks, it does give me some reassurance that my hormones needed that weight loss to function better. I am going to be 12 weeks on thursday so nearly at the safe marker point! I had a scan and saw baby stretching and sucking thumb and it was wonderful! I am SO GREATFUL to cinnamon and God ofcourse!

The downside in quitting cinnamon (you can tell it really is my wonder drug cant you!! lol!) my spots have returned on my face and back Oh well something I have to bare.

I am thinking of going back on it after the birth and during breast feeding (it is supposed to increase breast milk and tone uterus) if possible and if baby can tollerate the taste in the breast milk! So to keep my blood sugar stable as I really need it.

Any advice on that girls?

How are you all doing? Hope you are all great!

xxx

I have a quick question has anyone seen or gotten the precious moments figurine called Mommy sends her love with you? it shows a mom handing her baby over to an angel, and she has a tear on her cheek. My brothers and I are looking for this one for our mom for christmas and if you have seen it or gotten it I was wondering if you could tell me where you got it or have seen it! thanks
