Default cinnamon and breastfeeding?

Hi!
I've been reading this thread for a couple of weeks and have decided to give cinnamon a try. So I went out and bought a bottle of 500 mg tablets. After I brought it home I noticed that it said not to use it if pregnant or nursing and I am nursing. My baby is ten months old (who was conceived with the help of progesterone cream) and I only nurse her two times a day and once at night. Does anyone know why nursing or pregnant women should not take it? I was really looking forward to taking it to aid in weightloss and to help get my endocrine system back on track. I still have not had a period (not that I had many before) and have not lost more than 15 pounds of the 50 baby pounds I put on during pregnancy, despite exercise and diet changes. If any one has more info on cinnamon and nursing I would really appreciate it!
Thanks
