Hey ladies its me checking in again. I still have not started back taking cinnamon. I have been a bad girl. But I hope to start back this Friday when I get paid. My AF has not been on since I stopped, so I know cinnamon helped with bringing it on. Still feel drowsy through the day.I need to check my blood sugar. Hopefully its not high.I hope everyone is doing well.

Hey ladies, I am 2 weeks into taking cinnamon and I have to say "WOW". I never would have guessed that something that I have in my cabinet daily could do so much. I dont have as many cravings as I used to and I am always full. I am taking the stuff that is for diabetics cause wal mart was out. It has the about 2500mg in 2 pills. I am also taking met 1000mg a day. I really hope that this is what I need to get AF back on track. I will be doing the NPC shutdown so I will have a break till late september but I am still going to take the cinnamon. Wish me luck.

Default Recipe with Cinnamon

I LOVE this recipe. I used to make it once a week in the winter.
It has some cinnamon in it, but you can pile it on if you want. I add more than what the recipe calls for.

MORROCAN BEEF STEW (serves 4 in my house)
Ingredients:
1.5 lbs of lean stew meat
1 eggplant or 1/2 eggplant cubed (you can't taste it in the stew,
believe it or not----and it fights cancer!)
1can of stewed tomatoes
1/2 little can of tomato paste
1/4 cup olive oil (EVOO) or enought to coat the pan twice
Red Wine or Red Wine Vinegar
1 cup beef broth or boullion
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves of garlic, minced
salt to taste
cinnamon as desired (I usually put two spoonfuls)
pinch of sugar or honey
pinch of allspice
pinch of clove

Mock Tazaki Sauce (blend together and refrigerate as garnish):

Yogurt or sour cream
fresh dill
fresh parsley
1/4 cup diced cucumbers
a few squirts of lemon juice to taste

COOK MEAT:
Put half of the oil in a large skillet. Add onion and garlic.
When almost tender, add beef to mixture. Brown.

Add cubed eggplant with a little more oil.
Stir together until Eggplant is tender, and it has cooked down a bit.
Eggplant will wilt slightly.
In a seperate container, mix boullion, wine, tomatoes and paste together. Stir into a liquid, then add to hot beef mixture. (It sort of deglazes the pan) Slowly fold in spices.
Turn off heat and place the whole thing in crock pot for 4 hours on high or 6 hours on low.

I serve it with Basmati Rice and make a little Tazaki Sauce for garnish.
INSANELY GOOD.

Will Cinnamon tea work? I heard it is useful for blood sugar levels? I have been advised it for my endometriosis primarily, as it helps with blood stagnation (TCM) but I didnt know it could help with my PCOS , yay! I will start making some

OH HELL. ive just had a SEVERE allergy to cinnamon tea. Ive come up in MASSIVE red hot blotches all over my body. This is sad. I love cinnamon but admittedly I have never drank it so concentrated in a tea before. I just boiled some sticks and drank the water...It was heavenly. My dad started laughing at me and said my nan has the same allergy. shheeesh

Pearl, I would suggest just making a tea with the sticks. Maybe you could also try to take the pills. The tea that you drank may have had something else in it that you had a reaction to. I hope that you can find a way to take the cinnamon.

Oh no Pearl, you poor thing.I hope you're not itching like crazy.
I take the pill form about 2000mg.It's so much easier to take them than adding cinnamon the food etc.
The pills are really small and easy to swallow.

I just made the tea by boiling water with 5 large sticks. The tea was STRONG but it was sooo tasty, spicey and sweet!! It had nothing else in it so I know Im allergic to the cinnamon. What can I do? I really love the taste! This sucks Do you think tablet form would be better?

Try the tablets then if it happens again and you get a reaction then you know you are allergic to cinnamon and can find something else.
They really are small so for people not very good at swallowing pills these are ideal.

I would be upset if I were allergic to Cinnamon! Bummer, Pearl, sorry to hear that.

Bigbaby, great to see you, hope you get back on your Cinnamon regimen!

Still going strong with my 2k a day. AF is regular but not long at all and not a full on period so I wonder what that is about.

Hi Girls! Im really pleased to say that I had another allergic reaction today and it wasnt after drinking cinnamon. It was at the same time of day...but it was again after taking my supplements. I thought hmmm. I been taking these supplements for a year now (really really decreased my endometriosis pain) BUT I added a new vitamin MEGA B COMPLEX from ebay to the range. In the evening I took this tablet on its own and half hour later, BAM red raw and BURNING again. I took the whole lot and put them in the trash!!! Im going back to drinking my cinnamon tea!!!!!!!!

I use to take a mega complex vitamin. I had a major reaction. Could not hold my eyes open. I would fall asleep in the middle of conversation and exercising. Stopped taking them and stuck with "one a day." So keep taking your tea.

does everyone here take cinnamon in the pill/tablet form?? i was taking it in powder form(made at home) 1 tsp after every meal.. but i came across a website saying u should not take it in this way cause there are things in the saliva that kill the useful substance in the cinnamon.. is there any truth to this?
i didnt notice any changes in my body or apetite since i started taking cinammon but i thought it must be helping with glucose levels etc. but i hope it hasnt all gone to waste..!!!
