I take 2000mg in the tablet form and have found my blood sugar levels stay constant throughout the day. Usually i droop as the days goes on and even find it hard to get up in the morning but not lately. At breakfast i do have a sprinkle of the powder on my porridge as well just cause i like cinnamon.

Heady where did you get your cinnamon pills from? I was taking the ones that you get from walmart-Rexall,which are really good but when I went back to get some more they were out. Now of course I dont have enough money to get them now but Friday I will. Im a diabetic and if you have found some that work better that the rexall brand please let me know thanks.
Vitamins.com is cheap on price (they have a lot of buy 1 get 2 free deals) and s&h is always $3.95 for either UPS or USPS!

Thanks Nomadic for the info. Sorry it took me so long to respond. I actually ended up purchasing my cinnamon from GNC. Im back to taking 2,000mg with every meal. A couple days later AF/breakthrough bleeding showed up. This cinnamon is some powerful stuff.

Hi all! Sorry I haven't posted in so long! Its been nuts around here lately between life in general and work...... I swear I've been out of town more often than I've been home lately! I'll have to read back posts to catch up on everyone but I just wanted to say welcome to all the newbies, I hope that cinnamon helps ya'll out! and hello to everyone else, hope you all have been doing well! Back to vegging and watching the Diana concert on tv so far its been awesome! Back later!
I'm going to be going on BCPs to help regulate my cycles even more. I have become a bit irregular again despite taking my pills like I should and exercise, diet. It's really frustrating. I don't know what BCP yet...but I'll keep you all posted.
Good to see you Joanna, summertime is a great time for being busy, huh??

nomadic- summertime is a great time for being busy although I think its making it go too fast! lol I cant believe its July already! Good luck with the bcp hopefully that works for you! Let us know how it goes!
I was only able to find cinnamon extract in 150mg doses so far. I am thinking it's not available in higher doses here. I have been mixing ground cinnamon in my oatmeal but I read it's not the best way to take it because our saliva breaks down the cinnamon. I found a seller on ebay that has it in bulk in 500mg pill form. Does anyone have any other online sources that would ship to Canada? I'm afraid if I order off ebay, it won't always be available.

I hope so too because my periods have been a bit spotty and not really all together despite being vigilant about taking the Cinnamon. Hopefully it'll regulate them. I have had my period off and on (bleeding wise) ALL month long, but the moodiness and bloating has been here all month long. It's such a drag.

I bought the cinnamon pills from walmart. 500mg. I have not had ONE pill NO get stuck in the lower part of my esophagus and it is gross. I take MUCH bigger pills than this, just fine. I take it with plenty of water.....what is the deal? It gets stuck down there, opens and then the cinnamon starts coming up.........ick. Is it the brand? What brand do you all use? How much am I supposed to take?
THANKS
Crystal

Crystal, I was just complaining this morning that everytime I take my cinnamon capsules I have to cross my fingers that they don't get stuck in my throat. To me, it feels like the cinnamon is so light that the capsule floats in the water when I take a gulp which is why it's hard to get it down.
And not to be gross, but who knows if it's even getting all the way down to my stomach. If I burp after I take my vitamins I always taste the cinnamon...it repeats on me more than a hotdog! lol
But I do love it - i find it really does help the control the carb cravings, and, again, not to be gross, but I had this annoying toenail fungus type problem on each of my big toes and no matter what I tried (prescription or not) i couldn't get rid of it...we're talking 7 years....started taking the cinnamon about 2 months ago and it's gone. I had read that it has anti-fungal capabilities, but now I've proven it on my own feet! I wasn't even using it for that reason, but hey, i'll take it!

Yes ladies its normal to have cinnamon burps. I have read some ladies even burp a cloud of cinnamon. I havent experienced that part though. Maybe it would help if you take one capsule at a time with water, and while your eating to have the food help push it down.Thats what I do. HTH
