Hi, Im new but am looking for alternative therapies. I have been seeing a lot about Cinnamon and its benefits here on the site. Of course, my doctor has never mentioned it or any other alternative therapy.
My question is: Is the cinnamon powder as effective as in making it into a tea or do the cinnamon capsules work better?? Are there different mgs to the cinnamon and what is the recommended dosage?
sorry, im ignorant to alternative therapies but definitely trying to learn as much as possible
I prefer the cinnamon capsules. Just makes things easier to know you already have the proper dosage, and you don't have to fool around with a tsp of this and that. Plus I'd get real sick of drinking cinnamon tea every single day.
The standard dosage is 1000 mg.

I totally agree with Navi. The capsules have predetermined mg's. It's a lot quicker to put down too.

Ditto. I use cinnamon in other things, and I do know plenty of people who use it in foods rather than capsule form, but to me that's a major PITA. I take the capsules and be done with it. I take 1500mg-2000mg a day. I have 500mg capsules and I take it when I take my metformin.
