Hi ladies...I order vitex that containes Dong Quai as well...i just received it today...i went to the gyn on thursday and he rx'd me 1000mg of met and 50mg of clomid. I am also taking prenatals. My question is....can i take the vitex with all this other stuff?? If so...are there certains days i should NOT take the vitex?? TIA

I started Vitex, Cinnamon, Paw Palmetto, Fish Oil and Biotin almost 2 weeks ago. I don't feel any different and don't see any difference yet either. No AF, nothing. How long until any of you saw any kind of results?

If u take clomid and Vitex together, they can cancel each other out. So maybe u should try thr clomid first. Then use Vitex if it doesn't work!! Hope this helps some!! *hugs*

In December I was taking Met at only 500mg Vitex and cinnamon and got AF a good one. Then I saw an RE he upped my dose of Met to 1500 mg first week in Jan. I stopped taking the Vitex and the cinnamon and went annovulatory this month. Suppose that is because I stopped the vitex and cinnamon. I am still not on the full dose of met because my stomach can not handle it.
RE wants me to do clomid this cycle, but I need an HSG first, problem is I do not have the money for the HSG until March so I think I need to just do the met, vitex and cinnamon and skip the clomid this cycle....Plus then I can try to lose another 5#'s or so. Hopefully the RE will not be upset by this decision.

Hey ladies I've been ttc for 8 months now without any sort of fertility "help". Do you think vitex is a good place to start? If so, how much should I start with? Feeling blue today as another friend announced she's pregnant and it happened "without even trying". Sheesh. Happy for her. Sad for me. Advice would be so welcome about the Vitex.
Okay ladies I need some advice! I've been taking Vitex since Oct.6'07 (18 weeks now). I started off taking 800mg and on Nov.9'07 I bumped up to the highest dose of 1200mg (13 weeks ago tomorrow). My question.... the bottle's instructions say to take 1-3 capsules daily (400mg to 1200mg) for 8-12 weeks and then go down to 1 capsule daily (400mg). According to my bbt charts I haven't ovulated at all on Vitex!! I've gotten af (first cycle was 47 days long, second was 30 days, third was 24 days and today is cd24 of my fourth cycle) and my charts have been steady temps for the first time ever (not sure if that means anything or not). What would you do???? Stop taking Vitex altogether when you get af?? OR Go down to 400mg asap??? OR Wean down the dose to 800mg for a cycle and then down to 400mg???? I really need some help?!! TIA.
ETA~ The "C" marked on my ff chart for cd4-8 is actually Soy Isoflavones, and the "X" is the Vitex, just in case you were looking at my chart.

I have been taking vitex for 2 months. I havent noticed any changes except that instead of af being a medium-heavy flow for 4-5 days it is like 12 days of on/off agian spotting with a few light flow patches. No cramps or backpain at all, but the long spotting is really annoying!

I'm not sure I dare try either unless its really good. Vitex because it might increase risk of depression if you are leaning that way as I am. Cinnamon because it contains a toxin cumarin that gives you liver damage if taken in large amount. Haven't found any cinnamon without cumarin here in sweden.

I don't know for sure but I would say that injectables could be cancelled out if you take Vitex along with it. I would do one or the other, but that's just me. hth.

Well I've decided to decrease my Vitex to 400mg (as per the bottles directions) and hoping for either a late ov or af just to come already!
