I have today been prescribed Citalopram - anit-depressants low dosage of 10mg per day. The GP thinks this will help with the fatigue and insomina often related to PCOS and Diabetics or Glucose Intolerate people. It will help lift the moods that fatigue induces and may help my sleep pattern.

I was interested in knowing if anyone else as been prescribed this and if so how the med was working and any side effects.

Is this the same thing as Celexa? I think that's the name of the main ingredient in the drug. I started it today and was wondering the same things. My Dr. said there were very few side affects, but I'm reading that there are a few. I'm especially concerned about sexual side affects since I'm already not interested in sex and it is causing some difficulty with DH. He's not angry, just worried since that has always been a good thing with us. Sorry if TMI.
