Default Clean&Clear - spotty Cysters!

Hey girls. Just wanted to share with you some facial stuff ive been having success with. its from the Clean&Clear range which is expanding and has lots of different lotions and potions these days- and its on 2for£5 at the moment so cheap enough for you to try! does anyone else use the clean and clear stuff - ive found it is as good as anything else ive tried, and these 2 new ones (think they are quite new anyway) are particularly good. Anyway.....

http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1046813&classificati onid=1017958

i think if you copy and paste this into your internet it'll come up with 'Clean and Clear Keep Clear Daily Treatment Lotion - its like a moisturiser but is a gell-like formula. feels a bit wierd when you 1st put it on, but makeup goes on top of it no bother and im using it on an evening as well.

http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1046815&classificati onid=1017958

this is the face wash in the same range and it feels realy gloopy and doesnt leave skin feeling tight at all after using it which some face washes have a tendancy to do.

http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1058236&classificati onid=1017958

i also have been using this moisturiser for months now and find it moisturises without leaving my skin feel greasy and is nice under makeup coz gives you a bit of a glow.

anyway, i know a lot of us are constantly battling with our skin and spending loads on trying new things, but i really think these are quite good for ME but i also know that not all things work for all people. just thought id share my good fortune at findind something that seems to be working!

ive not had a 'new spot' for a couple of days (started using the top 2 products on friday) and my skin feels really nice - i NEVER say that! And im due on my period so am normally really bad the few days before!

hope the info is helpful to someone out there! xx

Thanks- I have always found oxy the best for me which is a shame as I can get c&c cheap through my job.

i have really sensitive skin too. i had a facial a few months ago and she confirmed that i dont have oily skin, i have sensitive skin and the spots are hormonal related. thats why i cant use some stuf like oxy/clearasil etc coz when ive used them they have dried out my skin. i mean like flakey/skaly/peeling skin. horrible!

i read up on the internet (my skin really gets me down at times so im always looking for ways to improve it) that if you dont have oily skin, and use the harsher products on your skin, it dries it out too much, and therefore your skins defence is to produce more sebum...and therefore make it more oily/spotty!

i deffo find that the clean and clear range isnt harsh, but perhaps it wont be effective for those of you who have oily skin also.

anyway, it seems to be working good for me - no new spots again this morning! woo hoo! its a miracle!!

hope everyones drinking lots of water too!!!

xx

I am terrible about drinking water - thanks for the reminder!

Mel - I feel like that too... I just look at all the products and have a panic because I don't know which ones to buy and they all seem kinda expensive to me (or maybe I am just cheap) so I don't want to buy something that doesn't work too well.

I think I will try that moisturiser as I need a new one - running out - and I need a new facial wash. I don't really find that anything 100% works as it's all hormonal with me. My main hate is that I have so many blackheads! I have tried so many blackhead beating products and none of them work. YUCKsters...

Vicky-Louise
i totally agree - they are expensive anyway, but then when i only use something a few times coz it doesnt work (or heaven forbid makes my skin look WORSE) it works out even MORE expensive. grrrr!

even in the clean and clear range, i find that the 'morning burst' selection doesnt agree with me so much, so i have a part-used bottle of that in the bathroom. i tried l'oreal pure zone range and it didnt work, and the skin naturals range and it made my skin greasy (?!?!) and ive even splashed out on some clinique stuff but didnt have much luck (no worse, just no better). ive tried the boots own range in the past, and superdrugs own, clearasil, oxy..... the list is endless!

and then with makeup on top of that to cover the spots.....ive tried most things going there as well! booooo!

hope the moisturiser and face wash work for you vicky-louise. let me know!

I know - I have spent so much money on products that don't work. Like this scrub thing that cost £5 by Biore and doesn't work at all and then loads of Clearasil, which just dried my skin out so I felt like my face was cracking. In the end I bought some Boots own stuff and used that as I thought that nothing was going to get rid of the spots anyway so I might as well use the cheapest stuff.

I don't use makeup so I save on that... I let everyone see my minging face lol. I don't have the energy or time for it these days. I do feel like I am "letting myself go"!!!

I really hate that - especially when it feels painful... I get them on my chin and then when you bend down it really hurts - like the blood is rushing to it or something.

Hahaha you made me laugh... with the names thing.

I don't know why but I have a complete erruption going on at the moment. I have loads of big spots and I also managed to hit my head and scratch a massive chunk out of my forehead inbetween my eyes - which looks really attractive NOT

I wonder if anyone else gets this, but I get an awful lot of blocked pores on my jawline, going down my neck (at the front as well as back)... which seem to have come since my PCOS has gotten worse as I have never had them there before. It's a bit like blackheads without the black bit and the skin feels slightly bumpy if you run your fingers over it. They are quite small... and they don't generally progress into becoming a massive spot or anything.
