Question Clear, odorless discharge? (TMI)

When I got up to go to the bathroom this morning there was this gushing feeling, like I had just started AF and when I got into the bathroom my pantyliner was soaked! I thought for a second that I had peed myself, except that I was SURE I hadn't! The fluid was completely clear and odorless and there was quite a bit of it. Has anyone else experienced this? What was it??? It freaked me out a bit because I have never in all my years of life had this happen before! Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hello -
It sounds like you may be ovulating. That's what people tell me. I have the sme problem, but mine has streaks of blood with it. I have an appt with the RE on Wed. I will keep you posted.

If you haven't experienced this before, you should notify your doctor to be safe.

Good luck and best wishes.

Niki

Oh Niki, thanks for posting!!! I will definitely make an appointment to see the doctor. I hope you are right and it is just me ovulating -- it would be extremely welcome since I have never ovulated before!!! BTW, please do keep me posted about what your RE has to say!!! I'm very interested.

You're welcome. I'm sure everything will be fine.

It's been 11 months since I have had a cycle. For the last month or so, I have been experiencing discharge and hints of blood. As a matter of fact, I am cramping right now. Everytime I go to the doctor, she says it's not a period. I'm trying to be optimist, but the doctors keep shooting me down. I hope this specialist on Wed will be the one.

Good luck and Congratulations on your weight loss. I lost 25 lbs too. We are do great, aren't we?

Hugs,
Niki

Definitely sounds like fertile cervical mucous, which is a very good sign that you're near ovulation.

I really hope you both are right and it is just fertile CM!!! That would be awesome! How lame is it that I have never seen anything like that before in my life? I have a little EWCM all the time (almost every day) so I never take it as a sign. That fluid this morning was like WATER, though, and there was so much of it. And there hasn't even been a hint of it since then, although this evening I have been having gobs of EWCM. I know, TMI!

One of my friends suggested that it might have been a cyst bursting. She said that after one of hers burst she had a watery discharge, only difference is she was in TONS of pain and there was some blood. I didn't feel a thing. Oh well, I guess we will see. Maybe I will have a temp shift in the morning and I won't have to worry about seeing the doctor afterall. Thanks for the great input, ladies!!!

PS Congrats on your own weight loss, Niki!!! I noticed that you have lost about the same amount, too, Sourdaisy! Good for you!

Congrats on the 25 lbs; weight loss and/or low-carb diet can help with ovulation. I have 5+ years infertility, very rarely had cycles, never O'ed until I started low-carb diet. Now very regular and O'ing.

The two types of ferticle cervical fluid are watery and EW. Sounds like you are having both, which is good. Keep us posted!

I had this happen to me about three times the last month. Mine was with pain though. I started AF on Sat so I beleive that mine was ovulation. I am so thankful too. Good luck to you!

Well, I haven't seen anymore of it, although I have been having a little more ewcm than normal. This evening there was a little bit of bright red blood and now... nothing! I know I haven't O'd yet because my temp has stayed low. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see if anything happens in the next couple of days. Thanks for all the input you guys!

Mandy, congrats on O-ing. I will be very excited if I can start O-ing on my own!!!

NMS, I just read your sig... 58 pounds... Wow!!! I really hope that once I start losing more weight my body will get things straightened out like yours has done. That is quite inspirational.

Thank you, I started my low-carb lifestyle for fertility reasons, the weight loss has been an added bonus!

I won't be TTC until at least spring, but I am charting to get to know my cycles. I seems to have almost 7 days of watery and/or EW before I O, so don't give up if those temps take a while to rise. Good luck!

Chantal, I was on CD 46. I have notoriously long cycles, but they have been getting shorter since I started low carbing and taking Met.

NMS, thanks for the encouragement. I hope that I do O and my body is not just playing tricks on me again!!!
