Default Clearing out the endometrium with Yasmin?

My doctor (who I don't like, but that's another story) put me on Yasmin because he believes I have PCOS. He didn't do any blood work and never called me with the results of my US, so I can't confirm that I have it, and since I'm not off insurance until September, I have to wait until then to see another doctor and get some real answers. I would prefer not to be on BCPs at all, for many reasons. I have a pretty technical question and was hoping I could find some help here. My question is, would it be worth it to take just one month of Yasmin, just so my endometrial lining doesn't build up too much before I can get into a doctor again? Would it even do any good? BTW I haven't had a period for nearly 7 months. Any help is appreciated!

Hi there. I havent had any fertility treatment for 12 months now. I have had one period the whole time and this was only a break-through bleed I am sure. I have some of my old pill (Levlen ED) here and I have just taken it. I will take a week of it (seven days) like I used to do with Provera, to bring on AF as I think I should shed my lining. I have an appointment with the IVF specialist again in September, but my stomach feels so heavy and I think I need to shed my lining. Im not sure if its the right thing to do, and I really hope it is. Good luck if you decide to go ahead. Thanks, Sal
