My RE had me on 50mg of Clomid to start, but I didn't respond at all. She monitored me very closely (3 u/s and b/w in 1 week) with the following results- no large follicles, low estradiol levels. She has now bumped me up to 100mg, which I started taking yesterday. I will take the 100mg for 5 days total and then go back on Saturday for more testing to see what my body is doing by then. If my follicles look good, she will have me give myself the Ovidrel shot. I'm wondering if anyone has had good results with the 100mg of Clomid after not responding at all to the 50 mg? From my experiences with Clomid 100mg (and I took 100mg for 5 cycles), I didn't feel most of the side effects until after I finished the last dose. I had a lot of mood sensitivity. I wasn't irritable, just weepy eyed, a lot. I had horrible hot flashes. As for the Ovidrel, I've done that for 4 cycles. I get very bloated for a few days following the injection. But other than that, nothing major.

I didn't respond at all to 50mg. I had no follicles, and my lining was shot. On 100mg, I had a 15+ mm follie on cd 13 and most likely would have O'd if I had been triggered.
I can't remember when the s/e started last time, but the hot flashes and bloat were the worst part. I was probably more emo too, but I am quite the sap at home most of the time anyway.

i got bfp on 100mg after doing 50 mg for 3 months. i lost the baby, but i got pregnant. i went back on 100 mg of clomid this month and i have to say that the side effects of 100 mg suck...but the dose worked for me, so it's worth it. i get VERY emotional on 100 mg. my moodiness begins on the day 4 or 5 of clomid and stays for a couple of days after taking the last pill. i can cry for hours and the slightest thing can set me off. some people have told me that they get angry modd swings...i guess everyone's mood responds differently. the reason for this is that clomid is an estrogen blocker, so you become menapausal for a few days. some people experience all the menapoause side effects of hot flashes, mood swings, etc.
