I'm about to take my 1st cycle of clomid days 5-9 of my cycle. I'll be using provera to get my AF started. Are there any positive stories out there on clomid? I'll be taking 50mg. Has anyone gotten pg. on clomid? Please Help! I need some good news! Oh one more thing was anyone overweight and got pregnant? I'm about 100lbs overweight is there help for me still?

Yes, there is hope. There is always hope. I am 60 lbs overweight and was taking 50mg of clomid when I got pregant. Even on clomid and 1500mg of glucophage my progestrone was on only 4.7 a week after ovulation. But, before the dr. could up my dose, I got pregant (That was also my 3rd cycle of clomid.)

Remember, there is always hope and the fun is in trying

Hi Cind, I am in the same boat as you.This is my first cycle on Clomid. I did the provera just recently to get AF going, and it worked great. Clomid was alright, I was pretty grumpy though. I was taking 50mg as well, days 3-7. I am currently on cd9. And I am in the same boat as you for weight issues. I have read that plus size women do, and can get pregnant so there is hope for us. There is a post on the Trying To Conceive message board that I found reassuring. It's called "Real-Life, Plus-sized pregnancy stories for women with PCOS" by KatCarney. There is also a website I found that deals with Plus-size pregnancy as well, resources, info, and what not. I thought these might be helpful for you. I know I found them useful.

HI - I HAD MY 1ST ROUND OF CLOMID THIS PAST CYCLE - 50MG DAYS 6-10(THE DR STARTED MY A DAY LATE). MY BBT LOOK LIKE I O'D CD19, AND I WAS VERY, VERY MOODY(STILL AM MY DH WOULD TELL YOU). I AM CURRENTLY ON CD36 AND I HAVE NO AF - THOUGHT I WAS PREG - BLOOD TEST SHOWED NO. I HAVE HAD A REGULAR 28-29 DAY CYCLE UP UNTIL THIS CLOMID THING - SO DON'T GET IN A TIZZY LIKE I DID IF AF DOESN'T SHOW UP!! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!
