Hi everyone,


I’m just starting treatment –hooray. However I’ve been but on 25mg Clomid for 2 cycles. Is that right? Everyone else seems to be on 50mg/100mg. Even the Pharmacist asked me if the consultant had made a mistake as I have to take half a tablet.

I am not sure what dosage they start you out on. I just took my first dose of clomid and they started me out on 50 mg. But, they gave me 2 --->25 mg pills that I had to take each day. I know the 50 mg seems to have made me ovulate...

I took 50 mg. on day 3,4,5 and 25 mg. on days 6,and 7. I was told this was a conservative approach. I didn't conceive until 50 mg. a day for 5 days though. Goood luck. Maybe they are being cautious about hyperstimulating your ovaries. I'd call them to check to be sure though.

I took 50 mgs but doctor reduced it to 25 1/2 tablet when i overstimulated on 50 mgs . It worked too . DD is noww 7yrs old.
Good Luck ! MAybe they'll increase it after a few cycles if it doesn't work.!

Thanks for your replys !!!- I'm going to call them to check but maybe your right about them not wanting to over stimulate. I'm just so incredibly excited about starting some treatment. I know it could be a long wait but I can't wait to get pregnant. I'm the eternal optimist each month.
