I am on CD 2 and will take 50 mg clomid on days 5-9. I have thin PCOS (5' 1", 106 pounds) without IR, and I conceived my first child right off birth control a few years ago; however my son is 2 1/2 and we haven't been able to get pregnant again. I didn't even know I had pcos until about six months ago, so this is our first attempt to conceive using fertility meds.

I have tried charting my bbt but never saw a rise in temp even when I was on provera, so I'm just going to use opks to see if I ovulate. If I don't have a BFP by day 30, my doctor wants me to take provera and will up the clomid dose next month.

Anybody else a new clomid user?

hi, I'm not a new clomid user, but I'm just at the beginning of a clomid cycle too, now at 150mg. I'm on CD 9. I also have a 2 1/2 year old son, conceived with clomid. I tried provera for the first time last month, and noticed a small temp change, not that obvious. I temp charted for a year before conceiving my son, and had no change, but on that first month of clomid, it was like "so that's what a temp rise is", it was really obvious.

Good luck to you! I am also on my first cycle of Clomid day 1 today at 50 mg. I'm taking it cycle days 5-9. I am also doing an iui, have to go in next monday ot monitor my follicles. Hopefully bfps for both of us! best wishes!

I've only tried it once (last month). It ended up giving me a 6.5 cm cyst on my right ovary. Make sure your Dr. checks for cysts after your first round. Unless you get your BFP of course!!! Best of luck.
