I'm starting my first round of clomid today... I'm taking it CD3-8... We have a bar-b-q to go to tomorrow... Can I have a few drinks???

Are there any side effects to the clomid that would make me sick if i drank???
Will it still work?

I was told not to drink alcohol while on Clomid. I don't know for sure that its a no-no but I stayed on the safe side. It sucked this weekend while being the only one not having a drink for 4th of July but I figured I didn't want to mess up any ovulation or any effects of clomid.

Personally, I wouldn't drink on the med. Not really b/c of side effects, but because I think it could decrease the effectiveness of the pill. It would probably still work, but you never know how alcohol can impede your metabolic processes. That's just me though... I've been skipping out on the drinking simply b/c I want to give my body every chance possible! good luck!
