Question Clomid and cancer risk???

Hi Ladies-

I remember that when I went on Clomid, I learned that there was some increased risk of cancers, such as uteran, ovarian, and breast cancers. However, I hadn't really thought of it until yesterday. Yesterday, I started my 6th ever cycle of clomid. (I did 4 cycles before my bfp, and this is my 2nd since the m/c) Have you guys discussed this risk factor with your doctors? What did they say? I don't have an appointment with my doctor anytime soon, but I can't stop thinking about it. Can someone put my mind at ease?

Thank you!!!

When I brought the subject up with my OB he said that no studies have shown that clomid increase the risk of cancer. No sure what to believe.

My RE handed me a brochure with the Clomid and it outlined the risks of Clomid. He said that there is an increase in the risk of cancer with Clomid, but your risk "resets" when you get pregnant. So you could do 5 rounds of Clomid and get pregnant. Then do another 4 rounds with baby number 2, 6 rounds with baby number 3, etc. He said if Clomid doesn't result in pregnancy in 6 cycles, they move on. I don't know if they consider your miscarriage as a "reset"????? That's just the way he explained things to me... don't know how true it is.
