I'm starting Clomid this cycle, 50mg on CD 5-9. I've also seen some ladies who are taking it CD 3-7. What is the advantage to doing it CD 3-7? Is it done that way to help lengthen the luteal phase? How soon after Day 9 should I be expecting to ovulate? (I will be temping and checking for ferning with my saliva microscope!)

Any advice is needed!

I just started Clomid challenge at 100mg days 5-10. As far at i know with the clomid.. if your taking what the difference in days.. is that its amied to hit your ovaries right before you should start to O. And actually make it happen. Cause if things work the way they should you would normally O in between days 13-15. I just bought getting pregnant. Which was really nice to give me the down low on what im facing and what the heck they are doing to me. If you need something like that its a good informative book for those of us who are challenged. On met 2500 ttc now added 150mg clomid challenge. Round 3 a bust.. Here we go round 4 sigh... in feburary. On a break for HSG..(

I took clomid cd5-9 and I o'd on cd18 with the help of an hcg trigger shot. I was monitored via ultrasound to see if any follicles were developing. Good luck!
