Default clomid clomid clomid!

So I am starting on clomid this cycle. I start on CD5 and go thru day 9. I am on 50mg. My question is, is there going to be blood when we are supposed to be having intercourse? The doc said to have sex every other day, is there a reason this is preferred to every day?

I want this to work!! please!

There shouldn't be any blood. Some women have some spotting but most do not. I'm coming up to the end of my second clomid cycle and other than a few hot flashes as a result of the clomid everything is normal.

Some doctors recommend having sex (bding=baby dancing) to give hubby's swimmers a chance to replenish. Has he had a semen analysis done? My hubby's s/a came back fine so we bd everyday around O time. My RE recommended every other day too though.

Do you mean your doctor told you to have sex every other day from the first day of your cycle? That's too soon. You can try taking OPK's or your BBT to see exactly when you ovulate and then you probably really only need to have sex starting around day 8 or 9. (Normal ovulation is considered day 14). If your DH's sperm count is okay, it's okay to do it every day, then you can stop the day after ovulation. (You really want the sperm to be in there waiting for the egg to drop for the best chance of conception. It's rare to conceive by having sex after ovulation.)

I too was wondering the same thing on my last cycle because it seemed like AF was never going to go away but it did in fact go away on cd10 so me and DH were able to DTD on the days we were suppose to. I havent gotten pregnant yet. I am getting ready to start Clomid again tomorrow. My doc suggested us to DTD on CD 10-16. Good Luck

On the clomid cycle it took to conceive DD#1 my Dr had me take my 50mg clomid days 5-9 and then had us BD every other day from cycle day 12 to cycle day 21. I did use OPK's as well and we just started Bd'ing when two lines started showing up on them. It worked for us because we only had to do that one cycle to get pregnant.

Good Luck and I hope you get your BFP very very soon!!!
