Default Clomid and Cramps

Hi All-

I'm sure this has probably been answered before, I did a quick search, but stopped when I realized I just wanted to hear from someone if for nothing else than some comfort.

This past month I took my first round of Clomid, which sadly didn't work (I wasn't monitored at all... only know because I'm on day 1 again now) Well, I think it worked since I restarted on d28 instead of my normal d31-35...just no bfp. Anyhow, my cramps this month have been pretty nuts for me. They woke me up last night, and kept me up for about 3 hours... not to mention the amount of pain I was in during my shift today. Is that something to do with the Clomid? I took some Midol but that didn't seem to touch the cramps at all.

Any words of wisdom? Again, sorry if this is redundant to another post.

Thanks.

Hi there! Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling very well. I can certainly relate to it. I have taken clomid 50mgs for the past 2 months. I experience really, really bad cramping when I have my period. I believe that it is from the clomid as I never experienced this kind of pain before. The first month taking clomid I cramped pretty well all month. The cramps were like sharp pains and I had to take tylenol what seemed like everyday to ease the pain.
It's a side effect of the clomid that really sucks, but I think it is well worth it if it works and you have the baby that you have always wanted .

Hang in there! Good luck and lots of baby dust to you
