Mary: Since you have PCOS, does your doc have you on metformin? If not, then I would assume that would be your first step. Sometimes docs will put you on metformin a few months by itself to see if you begin to ovulate (it never worked for me, but it does for many people). Usually, if the metformin alone doesn't work then they will add Clomid into the mix.

I plan on waiting...BUT I did check my cervix and is seems high...that could be a good sign. Miria...I am doing alright during this 2ww...I am starting to get a little impatient but I think I will manage.

Miria - DS is doing great. Talking up a storm keeping his mama and dada busy! Thanks for asking. I've just been kind of down lately. I really dont wanna do provera again so I thought I could wait out this cycle and eventually get AF on my own. Wishful thinking I guess. The dr has agreed to up my clomid to 100mg next cycle but finding a way to get to that next cycle seems to be the problem. I'm getting impatient

Mary- I think clomid is pretty much the first line of treatment aside from starting metformin but there again a lot of dr's are starting to sway away from Met if you're not IR. I hope clomid is your miracle drug though!

KC- I did clomid alone for 6 cycles back in 2003 and ovulated every month but did not get pregnant and did 5 cycles of clomid/met in 2005 and conceived DS.

MailLady i lost my mind and sanity in this dreadful 2ww! is a high cervix a good sign?..my cervix stayed high since ovulation, do you think it's a good sign?

Is it possible to feel twinges by your ovaries after only 2 doses of clomid? I am feeling something. If this is the case, I can't imagine what I will feel like after 3 more doses!

Ali yes it's possible, on my second day on Clomid i felt some twinges in my ovaries, i was scared and though i was going to ovulate early!! but i didn't and they stayed until ovulation,..i can still feel them from time to time but less then before! and it was a good indication for me that i responded! i didn't feel it with 50mg!!

Thanks LVM and Miria! Is it possible for both ovaries to be stimulated with clomid because i had aching on my left side all day, but now its starting on the right! I've only finished the clomid 5 days ago, maybe its not that i'm about to o, maybe my ovaries are working overtime to mature some eggies? I dont know since this is my first ever cycle with clomid.

Sarah: Of course, both ovaries can be stimulated. The medication works systemically.

I"m here! I"m not feeling so great about this cycle. I never got a surge but FF gave me a coverline. I just don't understand how one cycle I could have a strong O and this cycle not looking good. I know Suz went through the same thing. I"m calling my GYN to discuss if he will up the dosage and if Met would help me.

Deb good luck in the 2ww!! the chart is not always a reliable way to tell if you have ovulated!

Miria - the chart is all I got to go on since in the past my OPks and Peaks have been false. I'm just praying right now. How are you?
