I'm currently on Met although I'm not IR. I don't think that it will help me if my problem isn't insulin so my hubby and I are ready to go to the next step and try clomid.

My question is:

Is clomid more successful in women who aren't IR or is it the opposite? Should I stay on met while on clomid...even if I'm not IR?

I was on Metformin when I conceived my son using clomid. I am still on met/clomid and TTC#2. I have read on these boards that lots of women have success conceiving being on the met. GL!!!

If you have any kind of insulin resistance issues, it is ONLY beneficial for you to be on the Metformin to balance your system. Therefore, Clomid generally works better in combination with Metformin due to a complete "overhaul", if you will, of the endocrine system.

So if I'm on Met and not IR it really won't help? Does that mean that the clomid will work better since I'm not IR and don't need to the overhaul? Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions!
