Ive been TTC naturally for 1 year , the obgyn had put me on 1000 metformin for a month then cut me back to 500mg due to side effects . So he expected me to ovulate this month of met & when i didnt he suggested 50 mg clomid . 'I'll start clomid sep after period day 3 of cycle . IM scared to take clomid & have heard bad stories . please if anyone has gotten pregnant on this combo 50mgclomid &500 mg metformin , it would give me hope to hear about it . im 22 ,5 4 ' and 156 pounds . ive heard it takes longer than a month to ovulate on met but doc seems to think clomid will work . thanks sisters & Salam

I was successful with Clomid. It took 4 cycles though. Clomid is pretty harsh on the uterine lining and it will dry you out. So make sure you have some Preseed on hand (can order from amazon or Preconceive Plus can be purchased from Walmart). You need the moisture to allow the spermies to get to their destination. These are sperm friendly lubricants.

The cycle I got pregnant, I was taking 50mg clomid, 500mg Metformin XR and 81 mg baby aspirin (baby aspirin was to help the uterine lining become suitable for implantation). The cycle I got pregnant, I had added the baby aspirin and several other ladies who have been taking clomid that I know, got their BFP the cycle they added the baby aspirin.

The only downsides I had to clomid was O pains (strong), headaches and hot flashes.

Be sure to ask your MD about the aspirin first (although, I didn't).
