Clomid/follicle tracking on the nhs? I have been seeing a private endocrinologist for the last few years who put me on metformin. This has been great and makes my cycles shorter (now between 35 and 42 days), however I am still struggling to conceive as I find it hard to know when i'm ovulating.
I am seeing my endo on monday and he is going to suggest I try Clomid with ovarian follicle tracking. Has anyone tried this? And would you be able to advise me roughly what it costs if you go private/how frequently you need to have appointments? I don't know if I can get these treatments on the nhs if I have been seeing a private specialist, but whilst I'm keen to try it and don't want to have to be put on a long waiting list, i'm really concerned about the cost. My insurance won't cover fertility treatment and I can't afford much right now! Plus, I am moving to Kent so it probably isn't very practical if i have to keep going back to London for appointments (but then I don't know how many i'd need).
I'd be really grateful to hear from anyone who has experience with this so I might know what to expect on Monday. Thanks! |
