hi,
I was wondering if anyone was taking clomid 150mgs from days 5-9 and then taking the shot the day before your supposed to ovulate then 24 hours later doing a IUI? Me and my hubby are fixin to have to go through this and I was wondering if it has lots of side effects and if it caused overhyperstimulation of the ovaries on anyone ? thanks

clomid round 3 150mg,hcg trigger,IUI go for ultrasond thur 3-13-08.showed two follices now in the two wk wait!
been on metformin 2 yrs 2500mg

well i am just now starting clomid in my next cycle. it is only 50mgs from days 5-9. but i have asked some people about it they said the only side effects they have gotten has been like hot flashes, acne, being mean, there was so more to but i forgot what they where. but none of them said anything about overhyperstimulation of the ovaries.

I did 5 rounds of clomid/HCG/IUI. I was on 100-150mg of clomid and never had any hyper stimulation. I know it does happen to some on the clomid but it seems more common with injectibles.

thanks for the replies....moesmom and seats sorry it took a few days to reply I havent been on much I did a round of clomid last dec. of 100mg and I had ohss of the ovaries so i figure 150mg would be worse for me. and then the trigger shot of hcg..to add on top of ohss.......

well I thought I posted where it went i dont know...lol well moesmom did you get pregnant on clomid/hcg/iui with katie? she is sooo cute. when you got pregnant did you have any bad symptoms form the clomid? I took 1 round of clomid last dec and my ovaries hyperstimlated I guess thats why I'm worried. thanks for replying seats and moesmom.

That seems like a really high dose to start with? Did your RE explain why they were starting so high? Clomid didn't work at all for me, I'm trying femara this month. I did get really bad OHSS on follistim and got pg with quads (all angels). I would talk to your RE about your concerns before starting, maybe some extra monitoring would make you more comfy?
