HI!

I'll be starting Clomid along w/ my met in about 2 weeks. Does the combination of the 2 increase side effects??? Just how well do they work together? I never O'd w/ either of them by themselves.

Also I'll be taking clomid on CD 3-7, anyone now why some pt's are put on CD 3-7 vs CD 5-9????

I've been taking Glumetza for about a year and before that, metformin for about 3 or 4 years. I'm on 2000mg of Glumetza (dosage is equivalent to met) and this cycle I'm on 100mg of Clomid.
I definitely O'd, but I was also triggered. The follicles grew very nicely over CD10-CD15 and the leading one was 22mm when I was triggered with Pregnyl!
As far as side effects, the cramping has been pretty bad this cycle. Not constant, but sharp, jabbing pains. LOTS of moodiness (but you know that this is a given with TTC anyway). Some nausea/dizziness, but nothing unbrearable. Funny enough, in November with only 50mg of Clomid, my boobs felt like they were in a head-on collision the whole time. This month, it's also little jabbing pains and not very frequent. (TMI?)
I'm on CD28 and no AF yet (I still have about 10 days before I can do a HPT because of the trigger, but it feels like it's coming soon because the cramps are getting worse. :-(

Round 1:Clomid (50mg) + Trigger - November 2007 (Without trying because of blocked tube, just to see how I responded to Clomid)
Laser Laparoscopy - Jan '08: Cleaned both tubes and some endometriosis.
Round 2: Clomid (100mg) + Trigger (04/04/08) - 22mm follicle! 2nd Trigger on 04/14. Used Instead Cups when BD. BFP!!!

ive been on clomid through 3 months of each dose! but never O'ed. although my progestosterone lvles did increase at the end of the last dose i took which they say was good. but then lost my insurance. my doc was going to put me on the combo wich i was told it was a miracle combo. that made me excited so im waiting to get insurance again then going for the combo!!! so good luck hun. ive heard so many good things about them together though
(its has been a while though since ive been on clomid. about 3 yrs or so)

That makes 2 of us! I start next week on the clomid & have been taking met for a very long time. Do you know if they usually prescibe something to trigger the period first? or do we just wait for our next cycle? Good Luck! I am really nervous about the twin/triplet thing.

I usually need provera to induce AF. I just finished my provera yesterday so I'm just waiting for AF to arrive.... Keep me posted onhow things are going for ya!!

I've been on met for 2 months and did my first round of clomid last month. My OPK said I Ovulated last week but I'm going in for a blood test for progesterone on thursday just to make sure i really did O. With the metformin alone I had nausea all day for the first month and scary, vivid, and violent dreams which I still have, but not as bad. When I took the clomid, I had zero side effects, but a few days after I finished them (day 5-9) I started getting mild headaches everday and they still are here almost a month later. Now I'm in my 2WW praying and hoping and over analyzing every twinge in my body but so far the met and clomid together have nothing bad for me and certainly all worth it if i get pg.

Mommy: The "combo" is met along with clomid, and "trigger" I believe... (don't quote me on this), is an injection that causes the ovarie to "spit out" a mature follicle.... I don't get triggers so input from some "seasoned" cysters may give us both a better definition... HTH

Ok, thanks. Well, I am on Met and Clomid and it hasn't been the miracle combo for me. last month I didn't ovulate, says the doc, and my progesterone was only a 1.

100mg Clomid

My AF is all out of whack. I am just waiting for it to come to start my Clomid, now. I had AF 2 weeks apart, then 5 weeks, so I have no idea when the next AF will come. As soon as it does, I have my percription ready!

How is everyone doing?

First day of Clomid today....this time having more S/E then the last 2 cycles. Wondering if it's because I'm also taking the met this time. Been real tired, hot and terrible migrain today.... I so hope this works..... my insurance, as probably the same with many of you ladies, doesn't cover infertility. The clomid out of pocket is do able. Other than that not a bad day. Hope all is well with everyone!!!

I started out with 500mg of met for a month, then 1000mg of met + 50 mg of clomid for a month... no o
then I started 1500mg of met for a month with 50 mg clomid and BFP!!!!

I owe it to met and clomid
