This is going to be my 3rd cycle of Clomid. The first time I was on 50mg, didnt work and then this last time I was on 100mg Clomid and Bravelle injections. And it didnt work. Well my DR put me on 100mg of Clomid again for some reason. It made me mad because the 100mg of Clomid didnt work. But I have another refill of Clomid so I was thinking I could get it filled and just take 150mg. Has anyone had a problem like this with there DR? It should be fine shouldnt it?

My DR just said that it didnt work, so I am taking OV. So what has me confused is if he said that it didnt work then why am I taking it again. So I think I am going to fill my other refill of the Clomid and take 150mg.

Cycle One 50mg--ovulated, no BFP
Cycle Two 50 mg--ovulated, no BFP
Cycle Three 100mg--no ovulation....
He wants me to take 150 mg this cycle but I am going back to my 50mg. He is monitoring me this cycle to be certain that ovulation occurred. So I guess what I am getting at is if he has not performed a P4 test, then he won't really know if ovulation occurred. Did you get positive OPKs?

No I havent. All he tells me to do is take my meds and take my bravelle shots and then he has me come in to check my follicles. But my follicles NEVER grow. I am just so sick of my DR.....its like he isnt trying to help me hes just trying to make money off me. I just dont know what to do.

Is your doc an RE or just an OB? I have not yet been seen with an RE...My doc allows me to guide him as to what I want to do. We, together, have decided that if this doesn't work this time, I will see the RE next cycle.
My suggestion? Get the opinion of another doc. Doesn't sound like yours is willing to take into consideration your wants and feelings. JMO!

i really second what the previous poster just said, it really sounds like you are not getting the care and clarity you need. It is your doctors job to be explaining things to you and explaining why he wants to do certain things, if you feel otherwise i would talk to him right away and possible be ask to be referred to a more specialized person.
Now on the dosage question, i know many ladies that were asked to try at least 2 cycles on each level of clomid, since s/e and problems are directly links to how much you take, keeping you on lower doses at first is smart, but wither way he needs to explain his thinking to you.

Well I started clomid in Feb. at 50mg. I did not O. In Mar. the dosage was 100mg and I did not O. I was told I didn't O today, so I am feeling really bummed out. Now my OB wants me to see a RE. I checked to see what our insurance would cover and IVF, IUI, ARTS,ect. isn't one of them.
Just to give some I advice, I wouldn't leave the DR's office until you fully understand what he is talking about. Before your appointment, write down any questions you might have and ask them if he hasn't already answered them. But on the other hand, if you don't feel he has you best health interest at heart then you might want to see someone else.

Thank you ladies so much for your feedback. To keep you all up to date, I am currently taking a break from TTC. It is too heartbreaking to hear that every month that goes by that my follicles are too small. I am thinking about another DR. I will not go back to the OB that I was going too. I want a DR that is going to remember me when I walk in and take the time to treat my PCOS. And have time for me as a patient, and a DR that wont make me wait 2-5 hours to see. But thank you all again for your advice. Maybe one of these days I will have my beautiful baby girl or boy, but until then I can only dream

Thank you. Well at first it wasnt that hard but then maybe like a month down the road I had cravings real bad but honestly the reason I quit was because I wanted a baby. And I had NO idea that smoking causes infertility....well can cause infertility. I have been smoke free for almost 150 days or so...I dont have my agenda with me so I cant tell how many days. Some people think I am pathetic for noting everyday smoke-free, but it is a big deal to me. But yeah before I start a novel that's the reason I quit, and I will never smoke again.
