Thread: Clomid - no LH at all ! HELP

HI girls, I need some help, I have PCOS and have just finished clomid 50mg first round, also with metformin, my last pill was 4 days ago, Im using OPK's and I know its too early for ovulation but there is no LH at all registering, I thought this was always present, PCOS can interfere with this I know. My symptoms are....I can seriously feel my ovaries, theres a dull ache all the time since last pill, I have had shooting pains also, I have headaches, mega tired, feeling down in the dumps, I am very upset as I feel it may not be working due to no LH whatsoever, is this normal, have anyone else had this? Im so upset and crying as I write this that it has not worked.

I wouldn't stress...I don't get a second line until about 2-3 days before I ovulate. Also don't stress if it takes longer than the textbook 5-10 days after last pill...mines been longer than that both times. LH surges very quickly and is out of your system just as fast, so keep watching the OPK's. Straight after the surge, my tests always go back to no second line. HTH

Thanks for the reasoning ! Still all negative, but somethings definatly going on down there, I noticed some CM yesterday and this morning I had more CM than I have ever had before, is this a sign that O is on its way, I think so, but so confused lately ! Last night I slept on my stomach and woke up to a tight pinching sensation in right ovary, also since the last pill they have always, each day, every second, every hour let me know about them, I have felt them for days, kinda like a bad period I sappose. Is any of this familiar to you, some reassurance would be great right now !!! Thank you for your help. Mwah x

I have experienced the same thing with OPKs, so don't worry. I didn't get a second line until late in the game. Last cycle was my first round of clomid at 50 mg and I got positives on cd 17 and 18 and ovulated on cd 19 (confirmed by my chart and progesterone lab). This cycle I am on 100 mg and pretty much the same thing is happening. I got a positive on cd 15 and 16 and am ovulating today on cd 17.

I have also had all the same symptoms as you. Dr. says I am fine. It sucks, but I'm willing to go through it if its what I have to do to get pregnant. Best of luck to you. Hang in there with the side-effects, I can empathize with you!

Hi girls...update.
Well even though I had no positive OPK's, I had my progesterone levels back and they were 47.5, so I did ovulate !!! Stupid OPK's !!!! Just waiting now for HPT to turn positive LOL .
