Hi all I finished my 1st round of Clomid on the the 5th but my period was still on and is still on. My question is has this cycle become a waste no bding if I am still on this weeks marks the 3rd week of my dear use to be missing friend. I was taking 50mg days 3-7. OK does anyone know when ovulation starts I thought it was after the last pill but once again I was still on

I'm no expert, but KINDA had the same thing going on...
I just took my first round of clomid, & took it on days 5-9 50mg... When It was time for my first clomid I was still having AF... I called the nurse I she told me to go ahead with everything as planned & it would be fine.
As far as when you will O... I think it will vary withthe person. I've NEVER read or heard anything stating Ovulation will occur directly after taking the clomid. (By that I mean theres no hard fast rule!) I believe it helps your body produce the mature follie & your body will kick out that egg on it's own if all goes smooth. Some ladies have had to have a trigger with clomid to release the egg.
So I think you should press on. Some girls on my regular thread said to start checking for O soon after my last clomid, but they usually O on day 20... The best thing for you to do is use an OPK so you can time BD better... I'm currently 4 days past my last clomid & have not had a LH surge or ferning on my O scope... I'm still waiting for O!

From what I have read, you can expect to O about 6-12 days after clomid finishes. I don't think it matters if you still have AF when you start taking it, as my doctor prescribed it for days 2-6- I definitely still had AF then!

well I am ok finally off the period. Doctor said it was normal to still have AF as long as I did since I was on those meds and it had been over a year since my last AF. It has been 9 days since my last pill so I see I still have hope... yippy...

I took my clomid on cd 3-7 and I am currently on cd 11. I am using the clearplan fertility moniter. I wish you ladies luck and hope everything is good. dragonfy I am not to far behind you.
Nothing here to report either (day 16). I have given up this month but I still have hope for next. Anyway how do you all get your mood thing on your sig line?
I feel crappy right now my boobs hurt like all mess and I barely can lay with them my head hurts and I have all of a sudden got a cold or something. I don't know what's going on with me but I am about to load up on some vitamin C.

I was concerned about that too I am flowing ALOT and on my 6th day and stil having to wear 2 pads at a time
