Default Clomid Question

When you take Clomid do you have to have an IUI or can you BD on your own? What gives you better odds of conceiving? I am really getting scared and we've been trying on our own for #2 since January but no pg yet and I've had some perfect bd cycles (i'm temping) so not sure what is going on. My son was conceived naturally after trying for 9 months also but I was also thinner. I'm losing weight now and then plan to start Clomid if nothing happens on its own but was wondering how it worked.

Thanks in advance,

CP

Our RE let us decide whether to BD or do and IUI. In fact we had scheduled and IUI and then cancelled it at the last minute bc we wanted to try it on our own (can you blame us? LOL!) It was our first successful round of clomid so we figured if it didn't work, we'd just try again bc we were still early on in the TTC process. But our timed BD worked great and saved us $ since our insurance didn't cover IUI.

I don't think either way increases your chances of getting pg provided there aren't any other issues. If all is working properly, a woman has a 25% chance of getting pg each month.

I hope this helps. Maybe post this on the TTC board? Best wishes.
