Hey there,

Can someone tell me exactly what Clomid is? Is it an injection or tablets? What happens through each cycle?

I have been diagnosed (2000) with polcystic ovaries through an ultrasound and only recently my periods have started getting late and heavy and I've gone from an Australian size 14 to an 18 in 2 years. The thing is I'm approaching 33 and don't wanna go though a whole year of trying to conceive naturally when time is running out, I don't know ... but I'm sorta turning psycho or obsessive compulsive, and I fear I'm driving my hubby up the wall. How do you guys handle things, I haven't even really full on started ttc but I'm freaking our anyway.

Any info on Clomid or whether you need to wait a whole year of being infertile to go on it would be appreciated. Also is it an expensive drug to get in Australia? Cheers XXXXX

Are you charting do you know if you are ovulating?

if not start charting it helps to know if you are ovulating or not, if you are not you can take them to the Dr. Also because you have been dx with PCOS Drs are more likely to refer faster.

My Dr referred me to an Ob/gyn straight away because I do not get AF unless I am on the pill. An Ultra sound showed I was not Oing

Clomid is a tablet you take for 5 days usually CD 3-7 or 5-9 what ever the Dr thinks is best usually they start you on 50mg and see if you ovulate. with a progesterone test on CD21 or DPO7 if not they up the dose.

Clomid is on the PBS so you should not pay more then $24

To put your mind at yest go to you Dr and talk about it.
