well I wasnt Clomid resistant, I got pregnant on 50mg of clomid but it thinned my lining to much and i had a m/c. So My RE put me on Femara 5.0 mg. I love it.. My RE said he has had more success stories with Femara over clomid. U should ask ur RE about femara. It made me ovulate alot sooner then clomid.

I was on 250mg of Clomid when I did the last round. I kept getting fluctuating progesterone levels. One round I would O and the next I wouldn't. I'm going back to the dr on the 22nd to discuss further options including ovarian drilling and such.

Don't give up too soon, I'm starting 200mg of clomid this month and then going for femara if this doesn't do the trick. Try and keep positive, I know when I'm feeling discouraged that reading success stories on here makes me feel better

I never showed any response whatsoever to Clomid.
I did get the worst of the side effects, but never any signs of ovulation.

I switched this month to Follistim, and reacted much better. This time he played with the numbers a bit and started me off very slow...and ended up triggering with one single follicle.

So don't worry there are plenty more options for you!
My RE also had me start injectibles immediately after my last failed round of Clomid; I didn't even have to wait for AF to start.

I know it is frustrating, but try not to get too discouraged, too quickly. I was on the 50mg of Clomid and had the same results- nothing. After 3 separate trips to the RE for b/w and u/s, they realized it wasn't going to work and upped my dose to 100 mg of Clomid. I started the 100mg on Satuday and took it through Wednesday. I had some cramping on Tuesday and Wednesday, but nothing else. I go in again tomorrow morning for another u/s and b/w to see what my body is doing and am keeping my fingers crossed that they say it's responding. If it's not though, I know that there are still higher doses that can be tried, as well as other drugs. Don't count yourself out of the Clomid race yet, your dosage just might not be what your body needs to start working. Keep your head up!

I did ovarian drilling after my 3 tries on clomid. I chose it over the injectables because it was supposed to reduce my risk of m/c and allow me to ovulate on my own. I have ovulated like clockwork since the surgery, but did just have a m/c so I'm not sure on that. I would totally choose it over injectables. My insurance also covered it and won't cover injections. But maybe you'll respond to the next round of clomid.
