I buy bulk OPKs @ ebay and do one a day from the last day of AF, I also do the OvuLook monitor (tests your saliva). As far as BDing goes, DH and I play it safe and go at it every second day... that gives enough time for his count to build up and sperm live 3 days so you end up with a constant possibility of fertilisation regardless of when you O.
I don't know anything about this study though, if it's a medical study there might be certain guidelines to follow, in which case you'll want to bite the bullet and ask the Dr. Trust me, they've heard worse.

Floow - my doc has me taking clomid on cycle days 3-7, then we're supposed to make sure hubby has no ejaculations on cycle days 8,9,10 & 11 (to allow some guys to build up) then we are to bd every other day on cycle days 12-18. I'm on my 2nd clomid cycle, but I can tell you that last month I was temping every am and it was really easy to see on he chart when I o'd.
Good luck to you! P.S. If you're going to use an OPK, I'd start with day 12.......that Should get ya in the right place.
Lipsy asked about whether clomid interferes with your cycle......I can tell you this, clomid made me ovulate, where I wasn't before, and I got the nice progesterone rise (like I wasn't getting before) and when that dropped (because I didn't get pregnant) my period came with no help from provera, and it only lasted 4 days.
Oh , and it made my cycle a more normal length.....31 days versus 40, 60, 120 like I've had before. Many women have said it made them more regular. HTH

thanks ladies for that about the clomid i told my friend, she is confused she never been late before taking the clomid, shes done two tests and they are negative she wanted me to ask if anyone knows if you can be pregnant still even though its negative,my freind doesnt have pcos so she doesnt know what we have to go through but i said i would hepl her in any way as i know how hard it is
Many of us get the urge to pee on a stick and its too early yet. (because you can ovulate late, and the test is accurate only after implantation and the production of hcg, the pregnancy hormone) If she knows when she ovulated, its usually accurate if you can wait to test 14 days past ovulation.
