Default Clomid Side Effect.. or Pregnant side effect?

I took my first cycle of Clomid the beginning of March, got my first positive OPK.. did the BD & then got my Basal Spike, also my first.

During Clomid I had the hot flashes, dizziness that I've read about. Now last week I had horrid cramps for 2 days, then 2 days of intense sharp pain and pressure in my pelvic area (right where my Csection scar is).

Then I had nothing. I'm guessing all that is just from the clomid and me ovulating.

NOW.. my AF is due on Tuesday, but for the last 3 days my nipples have been SORE. And always errect.. I seriously look like I am happy to see everyone lol.

Is this a side effect of Clomid anyone else experienced? And if so... could it really be the clomid 3 weeks after being off it? I've never had this as a PMS symtom before, actually this has only happened to me 1 time when I was pregnant 4 years ago.

I've taken a HPT, and of course it was negative. I'm not wanting to get excited or sad either way because the same happened back then... I was 2 mths prego b4 the test showed a +. And Tuesday seems like FOREVER away!

Thanks ladies =)

I will not say either way but I will tell you this.... I started Clomid and about three and a half weeks after I was done I had a lot of the same symptoms. For me, a BFN but you might be. Who knows? Have you tested again recently?

I was just searching this site to answer this exact question!! I am only 6dpo, but my nipples are SO SO tender. I didn't know if this was a Clomid s/e either. This is my first month taking it.

I am on my third cycle of clomid and I haven't experienced any other those side effects ( the hot flashes but that was while I was taking the pills, not three weeks later ) So good luck to you!!

Hello ladies, this is my first time posting, so I am slow to the terminology. TTC for 9months, took clomid on day 5-9 for the first time (which was March 5-9) and for the last week my nipples feel like they have been through a vise grips and they are very erect! I have taken 3 different tests and they all come back neg. Even before when i would have my period i have never had nipples or boobs so sore in my life...could I be preg and it still not show on the tests?

Thanks for responses, aheard of time and baby dut to all!!!!

I am waiting for doc to call back

ankrumt, I am going through the EXACT same thing right now. I took Clomid March 16th - 20th. I had the erect, sore nipples. I also temp, and my temps are still really high. But, I have been testing BFN also. Maybe it is just the Clomid. It sure is frustrating though. I'm ready to scream! I just want a BFP or AF to show so I can be sure!!

I started clomid in Feb. 50mg. We started round 2 in March at 100mg. I did have the side affects which included the hot flashes, headaches, blurred vision, and mood swings. I went in for my 23day progestrone level check and was told today I did not O. . Now we are being sent to RE.

I also had (and still having) hot flashes. My temp has been about a degree higher than normal. Is it normal to have the hot flashes a month after taking the clomid? This morning I started getting heartburn and feeling a little sick...Maybe it's all in my head, lol!

just glad i am not the only one with the sore nips...ahh the wonderful things we put ourselves through to get that little "bundle of joy".

I never had sore breasts until I started taking Clomid. I did my first round November of 2007, my second round December 2007 and now I'm on my third round. I have had *horribly* tender/sensetive breasts/nipples for about a week to a week and a half before AF is due to arrive since my first round of Clomid.

Yeah, I've had the sore/hard nipples too. It's still too early for me to test though. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.

My boobs aren't sore, its just that my nipples are super sensitive, and they are constantly hurting. I heard that this is just a side effect, so I am not getting my hopes up!

You know what, I don't want to get your hopes up, but I started my first cycle of Clomid last month and I did not have sore boobs, just extremely tender nipples. (They still are!) I was told it was just a side effect, too, but lo and behold, I got my BFP!!!! So you can too!
