Hi everyone! I'm on day 4 of my very first round of Clomid and experiencing some dizziness and nausea.
Anyone familiar with these and any other side effects with Clomid? Thanks!

Hi! I finished my first round of Clomid 2 days ago. While I was taking the Clomid, I had headaches and felt dizzy and nauseated. Not horribly...just a little bit. Now, I am having hot flashes!
Ive been sleeping ALOT more than what I normally do. Tomorrow is my last day and I cant wait for it to be done. AF stopped the day I took Clomid (which I liked ). Ive been sick to my stomach since I started it and have had a headache also. Hopefully it gets better every month. Im hoping this will be the only month. HOpe you feel better

Hi Trisha! Thanks for sharing! I have been exhausted too!! I went to bed at 8:30 last night which I NEVER do, and slept for 13 hours!! It's crazy. Hopefully this all means it's WORKING!! Good luck!

It has made me crazy tired as well.. I wondered if that was the reason i couldnt hold my head up! Does anyone know how long these side effects last? I took my last clomid pill 11 days ago and i think that i am still having side effects

I didn't know where to put this, but maybe this is the right thread. I was dx end of June this year and am on Metformin 1500mg/day, synthroid 50mmg/day, baby aspirin, and took Clomid this cycle. We did an IUI last Friday and I am now on CD 20. For the past several days I have been having hot flashes. Last night I woke up just burning! I am a "thin cyster" and am usually always cold. Do y'all think the hot flashes are normal, given the meds I am on? I go in for a blood draw this Friday and will talk to the nurse about it, but just thought I would ask here. I thought if I had hot flashes from the Clomid it would be while I was actually taking it, not 10-13 days later.
Other than that, I haven't had any bad side effects from anything.

I was really nauseated for about a week after I took my last pill - I remember being really tired as well, but I thought that was just getting reajusted to the met again.

Hot flashes (nasty, frequent ones) are my one side effect from Clomid (it's probably the most common one). I'm sorry to say that they usually last well after the last pill...but, for me, anyway, usually subside once I've ovulated.
Wow... If Hot Flashes and Nausea are your only symptoms, you're darned lucky. When I did a round of Clomid in May 2006, I had the most awful experience. Not only did I have nausea and hot flashes, I was also practically suicidal. I had anxiety attacks so bad that I visibly shook all day long, and I cried and cried and cried. I wanted nothing to do with getting pregnant. was completely irrational. I just wanted that medication out of my system soooooooo badly!
The one good thing that happened is that it kick started my period and I had a regular one every month after that until now.
We were about to start a round of Letrozole next month, but somehow we managed to get a BFP without it. (Big big shock!)
If your symptoms are that minor I wouldn't worry too much about them. Know that a lot worse could happen!

Thanks, ladies! I know I have been lucky with regard to side effects from meds. The hot flashes have not been too frequent, and I haven't had any major side effects from met, either. So, very lucky so far! We had an IUI 7/13, and now are just waiting and hoping for BFP!
I didn't have major mood swings with Clomid either, although I was on 100mg this cycle, up from 50mg the last time we tried it. My mood was fairly even throughout, but there was a point, about my last day of Clomid, when I was sitting on the couch after work, and one minute, fine, regular. Five minutes later, I was working on my computer and all of a sudden I was super-pissed! Just angry. At everyone and everything! But I knew it must be the meds so I didn't kill anyone, LOL!

Mnstrpc--I had my IUI on the 13th, too! It was my first... Anyway, just wanted to say good luck! Hopefully it was a lucky Friday the 13th for us both!

hi everyone- I am on day 15 - this was my first cycle of clomid- I am also taking metformin and baby aspirin. I have had hot flashes like crazy in the last week. Anyone else? Does anyone know much about Ovidrel? I am going later today to have the injection -- (in my stomach) sounds so scary.. I am new to this board if anyone has any suggestions or could tell me their experiences~ I would appreciate it..

Hi! I got hotflashes pretty bad the first month on days 6-8 of my cycle. I took 50 mg. on days 3-7. The second month I took 150 mg. on days 3-7 and had hotflashes, but they weren't as bad. But I actually ovulated this month!!
I took 50 mg on CD 5-9 back on June 9th-June 13th...on CD 24 i started getting so sick nausia and heartburn like i thought i would die....that is still going on and i am on CD 1 of a new cycle had to take prometrium to get AF...must not have O on the 1st cyce of clomid...but hopefully will this time....my hotflashes were ridiculous they started about the last day of clomid it was unbarable!!! and i had sweaty butt I was stuck to wearing Jeans because that was the only thing that didnt look like i peed my pants...that last about 2 or 3 weeks but thats gone now....i had frequent headaches too not too bad but frequent....
