Those aren't typical Clomid side effects...instead, I suspect those are the effects of coming off of BCPs. I didn't know I had PCOS the eleven years I was on the Pill because I had no symptoms. About a month after I stopped taking it, though, I suddenly had the complexion of a 14-year-old, hair started growing places it shouldn't, and my cycles became long and erratic. BCPs are known to mask the symptoms of PCOS because of the tricks they play with your hormones. Have you discussed Metformin with your doctor? It seems to be the drug of choice for straightening out the hormonal craziness of PCOS.
I was taking metformin but so far nothings changed. I started having really bad heartburn and acid reflux and dr. thought it might be from the met so I went off but it hasnt helped so I'm going to go back on it . My weight is at an all time high and thats depressing enough but acne and heartburn too! Its almost more than I can take. And I havent had another cycle since October when I did my 4th round of clomid and I'm scared to get it now!

It took about 6 months on Met for me to start seeing an improvement in symptoms. I think it's pretty typical for it to take a while. I hope things take a turn for the better for you soon.
You will probably find that the high insulin levels are causing the excess male hormones which = acne and unhealthy hair.
Have you tried seeing a nutrionist? I have learnt loads about low carb diets over the last 2 years and I know that my diet is generally what gets rid of the pimples, helps me O earlier and makes my hair thicker.
I read somewhere ages ago that Met is only 30% successful at helping PCOS. The other 70% is diet/exercise/weight reduction.
If you are after inspiration track down Kat Carney's story. It sounds like it's along the same lines as you. Hope you feel better soon.
