This is a tmi , sorry
So I was on met for all but 3 weeks and I couldn't tolerate it, but thursday I had some spotting, nothing huge just brown old blood, Friday I had spotting in the morn and then finally what I would consider a visit from AF at night. Then of course today full AF. I'm suppose to start my clomid days 3-7.. Would you consider the spotting on thursday the start of my period or the actual bleeding (red blood) the start. Cause I would have to start it today if you consider the spotting or tomorrow for what I consider af . I'm confused!

They say CD1 is your first day of red blood. That is what my doctor has always told me. HTH

I agree with the pp first red flow is cd 1...spotting is just the prep for you to know she is on the way...lol

Why didn;t your doc give you provera or prometrium to induce af since you have gone so long with out an af?

I did go on provera back in Feb to get af they said to come back in May again if I hadn't gotten it (which I didn't get AF again), but the first week May I ended up moving from NH back to Fla and had to wait till June 1st when my insurance kicked back in to go back to the gyno. I actually have provera and was about to start it july 4th weekend (I was gonna give myself a 2ww since I was on the met and who knows I could have ovulated so I wanted to be safe) but since I got AF I dont have to wait and can start the clomid. It actually worked out well cause having to wait for the july weekend was killing me ! I hate waiting! great thanks for all the replies, I took the clomid today , no side effects except a bit of a headache but nothing terrible. We'll see how it goes! Fingers crossed

My first round of clomid was just taken on an AF which consisted of 3 days of spotting and it resulted in 2 big follicles and ovulation. NO pg though....

I had similar questions and my doctor told me the first full day of red flow not spotting. | |

its so weird cause I had 2 days of full blood and now just brown spotting again... I dunno whats going on. I'm on day 3 of clomid so I can't stop now but usually my periods are 7 days. I'm just all messed up I'll just have to see what happens with my blood results when it comes back
