Angry Clomid users please help!!!

I'm on my first course of clomid and today.... OMG I've been screaming, yelling, crying at my poor hubby.

I've never felt this crazy. I'm talking like screaming at the top of my lungs when driving from anger and crying hysterically and then interrogating him over silly little things and then going psycho again at him.

I've just crawled into bed with a pounding headache and swollen eyes from crying. I told him to stay at his Mums house tonight until I calm down.

I feel so bad. He was trying to deal with it the best he could but was kind of just sitting there in shock.

Is clomid sending me crazy?

Ohh yes that is totally normal, it's the Clomid Rage. On the second day of my first Clomid cycle, I actually screamed at the girl in front of me in a concert. Like full-blown, white-hot, shouting at the top of my lungs outrage. My husband just sat there shell-shocked with his mouth closed, I'm guessing because he didn't want it directed at him LOL! It was just horrible and totally not like me. Fortunately the following two cycles did get better for me, but I was still very emotional. My husband honestly thought I'd lost it.

Good luck!

I get very sensitive and just want to cry. Although my DH says I get crabby.
Try to explain it to Dh that right now your hormones are all over the place. Maybe if he knows why you are so sensitive he will understand it better.
It should get better. Just give it some time.

Some people can get like that on Clomid, however, because yous aid you tokk it today, Idk what time you took it and what time it is now for you but it always took my body a few days to feel symptoms. I cried the first day I took mine because I was stressed and just didnt want to 'have to use meds' when Ive conceived naturally before. It was very heartbreaking for me... and I wonder if maybe its stress/sadness/anxiety that makes you feel this way? It very well could be the Clomid. Its never given me immidiate effects like that before, but I was also only on 50 mg, Idk how much you are one, and everyone is different. Maybe you should call him and tell him you love him. And that you understand you are crazy right now and you appreciate him for his understanding...? Maybe that would help the situation? Idk, my husband is very understanding to how meds effect me emotionally, but its just his personality...

Im sorry youve had a bad day **hug** but you can still make it better

OMG I was horrible on Clomid! My first cycle wasn't bad at all but my 2nd....I was the same as you are, full out raging, screaming, and taking everything out on poor DF. I explained to him that it was the medicine and how sorry I was that I was being that way to him, I'm not sure if it helped or not but I tried. Needless to say it was so bad I'm not going back on it again. Alot of ladies on here have told me about Femara, my Dr won't prescribe it but maybe your's will. Then again, it may get better as you go along. In my case I suffer from anxiety and depression anyway so I didn't want to make anything worse. Sorry you're having such a bad day, just know that there are alot of ladies that have gone through it and still are so you're not alone. We're here for you!! Keep you're head up and remember that it will get better!

WantsaBaby- lots of luck to you. From one Midwest girl to another! How many mg's of clomid are you starting with?

For the OP what you're experiencing is normal! Hot flashes were bad for me after I finished taking Clomid! Moodiness just seems to be standard, LOL!

WOW, maybe the next time some lunatic woman goes off on me, I can ask her, "BTW, are taking Clomid right now?", LOL, not that it happens to me that often.
I felt the same way when I took soy, I felt like an alien force was possessing my body and mind. Freaky.

I was insane on Clomid... I mean seriously. DH has said he will never go along with me taking Clomid again. Luckily I got PG on the first cycle, because I don't think I could afford another one. I got so p!ssed off during it that I beat our mop into the tile floor of our house and then threw a laundry basket full of clothes... It felt like an out of body experience.

God, I am so worried about this happening!! I've expressed concern about this to everyone from my RE to my therapist. I start taking 50mgs next week, and I've already pre-appologised to hubby for whatever may happen. Lord, I'm already crazy enough as it is!!

It was tough at first. I too have anxiety and depression. It didn't last the whole cycle and did get better. The worst for me were the hot flashes and incredibly painful headaches. The first cycle was the worst. But it's worth it! Many, many women get pregnant with Clomid!

Good luck to all you lovely ladies!
