Question clomid verus injectables?

Well im going back to doc. next friday to talk about next step. Ill be up to 150mg of clomid if i choose to do that. My question is should i just go to injectables? Is there a better success rate? i am on the fence and not sure which route to go. If i could get some personal opinions from people who did both it would be great. Thanks.

I don't know how many times you've done clomid, but usually they say not to try too many times. Chances are, if you've tried three cycles and it didn't work, it's not gonna work for you. In that case, it's way better to do injections. I just started injections this cycle, and I am so happy that I did. First of all, my chances of conceiving are much much greater now. Plus, injections are much safer and easier on the body, without any risks or horrible side effects. I'm like a different person now. It sounds very scary, but it's really not a big deal. Just make sure you're going to a good re and are being monitored all the time.

Good luck!

I have never done injectables, but I have done 5 cycles of clomid only ovulating on two of those cycles. One of those I conceived but miscarried. I will probably be doing injectables this next cycle because I would be up to 200mg clomid. I will find out Nov. 7th at my next appointment. I would say just move on to injectables as soon as the Dr. will allow you to. I feel like I have wasted too much time with clomid and I don't want you to feel the same way.

I just did three cycles of Clomid without ovulating. I'm moving on to injectables now.

I think you should try the 150mg, because someone woman that's what it takes... just finding the right dose. If the 150mg doesn't work, and you can afford injectables, then move on to that then.

I've done up to 150mg, and only Ov'ed once. I'm taking a break cycle now, and doing 200mg next month. Then if that doesn't do anything, I'm moving on to injectables. But I don't want to be completely broke, so I am going to save money a few months to afford injectables (As it's all out of pocket, and could cost anywhere between 2,000-4,000 out of pocket; taking meds, u/s's, etc... into consideration. I just can't afford to pay that now.)

So it's figuring out what's best for you right now. I think if you can do injects, that's great... but I still think giving the 150mg is worth it. Just because there is that chance.

Best wishes in whatever you decide to do.
