clomid and veryyyyy delayed period....help!

guys,
has anyone experienced delayed period while on clomid? i didnt' ovulate this cycle (it was 1st one), and its now day 43 and still no sign of a period...my doc told me when i saw him 2 wks ago to give them a ring if it gets delayed so they'll give me some medicine to start it...but i'm sick of all these medicines etc.,dont really want that..My cycles are long, usually over 36days but its day 43...
so i just wonder if there is anyone who have/had the same problem? oh, and if you did get a help to start your period, what did you have? what tablets do they give?

If I don't Ov, I don't get AF. So, I'm not much help here.
I know some woman will get AF even if they don't Ov, or they will Ov late and then get AF, but I'm not one of them.

I always just use Prometrium to bring on AF if the cycle is a bust. Beats waiting around, IMO.
