Thumbs up Clomid and your local pharmacies

I don't know if many of you know this or not but did you know that you can actually get your Clomid for about the same price as your usual co-pay on covered medications? Today my doctor wrote me my perscription for Clomid and told me about a pharmacy in another town about 45 mins away, he said that they sell it for a lot cheaper than bigger chain pharmacies? I thought that was wishful thinking. If I take my perscription to Walgreens or CVS I am paying anywhere between 5-8 dollars PER PILL! I don't know if that is the same for any of you. Anyways I called the little pharmacy and sure enough I would get 10 pills for $19.45!! I am thinking "Holy crap that is less than my co-pay!" But is it really worth it to drive an hour out of my way? So I check around at other small "no name" pharmacies and I found it CHEAPER right here in my own city! $17.45 for 10 pills of Clomid! So it pays to check around. I can't believe I can get it for that cheap!

So if you're paying way too much for your perscriptions check around. It will definitely save you money! And if anyone is from Oklahoma City I would be happy to give you the name of the pharmacy I found. And If they are that cheap on Clomid just think of what you can save on other medications that aren't covered by your insurance!

Hope this helps some!

Deanna

I am not sure about the place in your area-but I found the cheapest place around me is CostCo. Since the Meds are not covered my insurance I get them filled there!

When my insurance didn't pay for Clomid, I paid $8.99 for 5 pills. Now, I'm on my dh insurance and they cover infertility treatments and I pay the RX copay of $10 and that's for 10 pills. Both RX were filled at CVS.

There aren't any CostCo's in my area, not sure why... But the place I found the cheapest at is a very small pharmacy.

8.99??? Holy Cow! Where did you get that from? I would love to find them for that price here!
