Ok so I went to the DR yesturday and he gave me my prescription for my Clomid. Well after I got to the pharmacy they didnt have the regular Clomid in stock and gave me "Clomiphene Citrate". He said it is the same exact thing but cheaper. I dont know how much the actual Clomid is but this cost me like $14-$15 so not expensive at all but I want to know if anyone else has taken this and if it worked. If anyone has any information about this drug I would love for you to share your story with it or what you know. Thanks for your time.

HUM....I just finished taking Clomid Citrate. I was led to believe that it was the real thing
Oh well....to late now....I took my last one yesterday. I was on 50mgs from CD5-9. Just waiting to OV so I can have my 2nd IUI. This was my 1st month on Clomid.
I should have known when I only had to pay 6 bucks for it. I even questioned it with the pharmacy. I really thought it was the real thing. In fact I had called to make sure they had it before I had my Dr call it in for me. They said they had the generic stuff and that it worked just as good. So I said...OK. I called my Dr and had them call it in for me. A little later that day I called the pharmacy back to make sure the DR's had called it in for me. They said that they had to special order it for me and that it would be in in a couple days. So when I went to get it I assumed it was the real stuff since they didn't give me what thay already had.

I took the generic (which is what you got). It has worked for me I have gotten pregnant 3 of my 4 angels and recently got another BFP and currently almost 6 wks pregnant.

So then is the real thing or not? 1 poster is saying it is and the other is saying it's not.

To Holland I think you might think that I was saying that it wasnt the real thing. What I meant by this post is that I didnt know if it was as good or if anyone had taken it and it worked. I am sorry if you mis-understood me. To you other ladies thank you so much for your feedback. I am looking foward to it working if I am not already pregnant.

According to my sister in law who is a pharmacist, it's the exact same thing. One is just a generic version, but it's the exact same medicine, different labels is all.
She also said that the brand name Clomid runs about $30 (here at least) for my prescrip whereas the generic will run about what you paid.

Well I am on the 5th day of Provera today so I dont know as of yet. But I take my Clomid on CD5-9. I am super excited. I am hoping that it works. How much MG are yours? Mine is 50mg. Hope to talk to you soon.

i took the generic clomid both times when I was ttc my boys..
the first time I was on 2rounds of 50mg and with #2 DS i was on 1 round of 100mg.....So it worked for me only difference was with ds#1 I took it cd 5-9 and ds#2 cd3-7...with ttc soon I think I will try cd3-7 again.

I started taking it in janurary of this year. I am on my third round. 150 mgs. I had to take a break from it and get an examine to make sure there wasnt a cyst. So far all clear. I am having alot of trouble with 150 mgs though its like my head stays foggy sometimes maybe alot of confusion and mood swings.
