Do you mean the coffeemate stuff?
I follow the IR diet to control my sugars as well, and it talks about how sugar substitutes still affect our sugars because they are chemically identical to sugar and your body releases a small amount of insulin. So the book suggests making sure you have anything with sugar sub. with a little food so that your insulin has something to act on, and enjoying subs in moderation.
HOW much you have in a cup and how often you're drinking it is really the key...anything in moderation is doable, but if you're drinking 3 cups a day with 4 tsp of the stuff in it, that would be a more significant effect than someone who was having a tsp in coffee every day or two.
If you're having a tsp of the stuff every few days it wouldn't be a really big difference a tsp of Coffeemate Hazelnut is only about a gram of sugar, so it wouldn't be something i'd worry about very seriously.
Hope it makes sense.
