Default Coincidence or Success?

I have been on Gluc XR since the evening of the 9th. I took 500 mg. at night for 6 days and have been taking 1000 mg. at night since then. I have noticed some of the side effects (gas pain, nausea, etc) but have been a bit backed up rather than rushing to the bathroom. I have solved that problem with Metamucil so far.

I am wondering if it is too soon to see some of the results I am seeing or if I'm responding that well. My appetite has been curbed quite a bit, but I do overeat if I don't watch it. My hair isn't falling out as bad, my dark spots under my arms and above my lip are fading slightly, and I have started losing weight it seems. Coincidence or success? My dr. doesn't want me to go up to 1500 mg. She thinks I am doing ok at what I'm at. Truth or will I become immuned to the 1000 mg.? Thanks in advance!

PS Oh my, I thought since my tummy was not as explosive as some, I would try iceburg lettuce last night. BIG mistake. I can back up the claims that it's disruptive!

I think that you are having success. Are you on it for PCOS or IR?

Sounds like success to me. I also have been fortunate not to have too many of the GI problems that so many people have. I've lost about 8-9 lbs so far , mostly in the first week, but no longer have that feeling full all the time like i did the first week or two taking it, which i miss, lol. Keep us posted on how you're doing.

I have both PCOS and IR, so can I be taking it for both? I am treating my symptoms of PCOS, but it seems to be treating my IR symptoms as well. Does that make sense?
