My fasting blood sugar levels were 118. (normal 65-99). So I guess I'm "pre diabetic".... but does that mean that I'm insulin resistant? My Tsh was fine.

Should I ask for Metformin? Should I try D-chlor-Inositol????

All I know is that the pounds are piling on now and it's not ok~!!

Can anyone help me out here, thanks!

My dr's wouldn't consider you prediabetic until you were over 120, and or your fasting insulin levels were high. Then they'd do further testing (glucose challenge for one) then maybe meds. Not until.

Good luck and I hope you can get your sugars back down. Once labeled now as a diabetic, or prediabetic, it stays for life.
