Default Color treated hair and hair loss?

I have to be careful about harsh shampoos because my hair is colored and high lighted and I try to make it last as long as possible at $100 a pop! haha

I also try to not use shampoo/conditioner with parabens, etc. in it - so more eco friendly stuff and I've read how a lot of those things can mess w/ your endocrine system.

But at the same time, every time I touch my hair, comb it, take a shower I am taking out lots of strands of hair. It's getting worse and worse even though I am on Met, taking all my vitamins, attempt to eat no sugar/processed/white carbs, and am doing acupuncture and herbs to regulate my hormones (get pregnant).

Anyone have a good recommendation that can fulfill my needs?

Nioxin makes a line for color treated hair. They advertise their products as safe for use during pregnancy, but not sure about how ecofriendly they are. If you go to their website, you can find more info about the ingredients. I haven't tried it yet, but just ordered it and hoping it will help with my thinning hair. Seems to help a lot of cysters.

Sure I can help you...
Look up apivita.. It's a company in Greece.. they sell a shampoo for hair loss.. I still have extreme shedding and I'm only 22 but it doesn't mess up my hair as bad as other shampoos...

It contains natural products including rosemary oil which stimulates hair growth

Order emu oil it's a dht blocker (Women with pcos usually have elvated androgens which convert to dht which causes hair loss)

Also it's great that you cut out processed foods but make sure you are getting enough veggies and protien and eat avacados they also block dht

Try this for a diet, it WILL make a difference

Breakfast: (Monday - Friday)
Whole Milk / High Fiber Cereal / Shredded Almonds

Snack
Greek yogurt with Blueberries

Lunch-
Greek salad -- chopped lettuce / tomato (contains an amino acid great for hair) / olives / feta / anyother veggies you want to add / olive oil / flax seed oil / garlic / onions / lemon / salt / pepper / chickpeas all with bread made from buckwheat and hummus

Snack--
Buckwheat pizza w/ spinach / feta / goat's cheese / tomato / artichoke

Dinner -
Smoked Salmon w/ brown rice / and grilled aspargus or eat it sushi style -- (ONLY brown rice organic sushi though

Alternate Breakfast days with 2 whole eggs / with green red yellow orange peppers

Alternate Lunches with any salad you like but with organic turkey

That should help...

hi all, i have used nioxin and noticed a big difference and even some regrowth. the issue is to be consistent with it. My only complaint is it is very drying. i am trying mane and tail cause i read it could help with regrowth. does anyone know about this?
