Default combined pill to mini pill

After having a baby and being on Normin BCP for 8 years, Ive had terrible headaches and the doctor suggested i tried the mini pill. Was just wondering wether the mini pill will supress my pco symptonss as well as the combined pill does? Anyone ever switched from the combined to the mini pill, if so how did you get on?

I did just the opposite. I switched from the mini pill to the combined pill. I was only on the mini pill for about 5 mths and i had breakthrough bleeding every other week. After this my dr. switched me to the combined pill.

I have the mini pill - Noriday for about 4 months. It stil made my bp go up, and my weight go up too.......... but we're all different. Hopefully it'll be ok for you.

thanks for your replys, havent started taking it yet, just getting to end of my combined pill pack. Guess i will give it a go and see what happens. Am a little worried about taking it though as I have Ibs and the combined pill stops my ibs symptoms as one of my ovaries is attached to my bowel and when I get bad cysts it flares up. Will let you know how it goes.
Thanks again.
