Default Come on ladies natural has to be better

I took Metformin for many, many years and i seem to build up an alergy to this. I am currently taking chromium picolinate and i really like it. I would love , love , love to know what you other ladies take for IR. I actually have lost alot of wieght from the chromium. Thank you ladies.

Metformin works great for me and has helped with my weight loss...but if you look in the Alternate Remedies Board, you will find others who go the natural route.

I read that a non-prescription supplement called inositol is often taken as an insulin sensitizer. PCOS women have a deficiency of D-chiro inositol (your body makes inositol naturally), but the form myo-inositol is the only one available as a supplement. It's still supposed to have a significant benefit for IR. I would definitely try it I weren't already happy with the metformin.
